Well, I guess my time here has come.
I'm not putting a TL;DR, Either Read it Entirely or Disregard this message.
I would like to keep this short but at the same time, I wanted to detail my experience in this clan for more than Half a Decade now. Even though I have left or had hiatuses in the past whether it being "drama" or personal life related, This time, it's different, After this thread is made, I'll remain online for several hours to see who would read, Leave a Message, or a Reaction on this thread. Afterwards, I'll be logging out of this account for good and I'm not logging back in anymore, Not even the CS1.6 server. Nevertheless, here is my experience.
For a long time now, This Community felt like Second Home for me after being a part here for 6 years now. I've met Good Players, Bad Players, Players that are in-between, and others. In Recent times, It doesn't feel like that anymore. Because almost everyone I knew here have already left, Either moving on to other CS1.6 Clans or stopped playing the game entirely and moved on with their lives. And Maybe, because of the "split" that happened a few years back which took the majority of the clan with it. The same goes for me.
My reason for leaving is the combination of both of my points, Dwindling interest to Play CS1.6 and More and More of my personal life is starting to take hold of me.
Regarding the CS1.6 ZE Server, This was probably one of the most unique ZE Servers I've ever played. Not only is roots are from Classic ZE, but it somewhat stayed true to that over the years without changing the server mod significantly. Only adding features that are somewhat "balanced" despite some of it being locked behind a paywall. Mostly, My Reception is great, for it At the time. Overtime however, more and more of it is starting to be added behind a paywall either for players to get a hold of the server faster or using it for maintenance reasons to keep it financially running. Unfortunately, when a running a server, Money Talks. There's nothing I can do about that apart from criticizing it.
However, There is One Feature that I would like it removed from my absence and it is pretty much THE DETROMENT And will lead to the server's Downfall. Which is the UNTRUSTED CONNECTION SYSTEM aka THE PROXY CHECK. I know this is for Server security reasons but THIS IS THE SOLE REASON WHY THE SERVER HAS SEEN LITTLE TO NO PLAYERS. Let me be clear, You can't force everyone to log into the forums and get there Proxies check or get their IPs whitelisted, It doesn't and it Will NEVER WORK Like that. Name one other Community that uses this, I'm sure that went well for them. With the rise of Organised chatting Applications like Discord, Guilded, Revolt, etc... Forums and Message Boards are a "Dying Culture" of the Modern Internet and more and more of these sites are shutting down in recent times. Besides my ranting, The Proxy Check System Has Got to go. Otherwise, It will lead to whatever is left of the community and the server shutdown. There are also other problems as to why the server has no players either like: Lack of Updates, No Boosts, Lack of an Organized time of when to meetup weekly in the server to play, and etc... but THIS ONE Is The Server's BIGGEST Problem. I know I am repeating myself But This System has to [REDACTED] Go if you all want this server to rise up again.
Nevertheless, I won't be contributing to that part of "Rising up Again" anymore, it's up to this Community and Especially to you Sky to make that happen. I'll leave that to all of you to Figure that out.
And if this Message doesn't get through (Ignored, Locked, Deleted), If I get banned the moment I leave, Then I am Afraid to say that THERE IS NO FUTURE FOR PROGAMING.BA. THERE'S NOTHING LEFT FOR EVERYONE Here if you keep going through this Route.
