Closed Idea "Hunter Mode"

so i was thinking, zms escapes are about running from the zms to escape, right?
this is all good, very fun and creates good game play, but i had an idea, what if there was a Hunter Mode in the game, where perhaps simply for one round the firepower from the humans is ramped up to 11.

in my mind i see it going like this
zms HP is doubled and all ZMS get regeneration at 500hp (maybe 1k)

the zms then get picked as random as per normal, each infection they gets a x3 modifier
1 inf = 3 inf

the humans then get an increase of fire power, the idea is that the hunted becomes the hunters and the two teams engage in heavy combat while the humans slowly work their way through the map to escape, perhaps this could be voted on and done on select maps when an admin is around.

I kinda thought it would be cool, this would also help new players rank up some zms kills, in zms escapes the higher level you are, the faster you run aka the easier the escape is, so perhaps with hunter mode, the lower level you are the more damage your firepower does.

was just an idea, i thought it would be kind of neat to see this.


alternatively i had a "favoured enemy" idea a while ago, where you pick one person who is your buddy and if you slay that person as a zms you get more escapes or something.


well what if on some maps, a vote is taken for there to be a hunter, if the vote passes, the person who is the hunter is the favoured enemy of the zms.

hunter gets danke firepower and zms get epic rewards for killing the hunter.

a little bit AVP and i understand this might take away from the classic ZM escape experience but in the interest of new content, maybe worth considering

thinking about it pitching this hunter mode isn't exactly the greatest of ideas.

however I feel that there is something to being a zombie hunter on the server.

so I'd like to have a second attempt at posting on this. this might take me a few trys to get right.

being a zombie hunter simply just sounds cool and if it sounds cool i'll probably want to do it.

for example i'd want to be a zombie hunter.

so perhaps keep it short, sweet and simply, instead of these different modes i've suggested or extra damage etc.

perhaps a zombie hunter gains some escapes when they kill a zms.

this way you get escapes per zms you kill and also when you reach your target goal.

how to become a zombie hunter?

perhaps it can simply be added to your account manually rather than a paid feature.
so... simply asking on discord?

I'm a zms and i killed a hunter, whats in it for me?

other than escapes when you kill a zms honestly I have no idea, however i do however think this is a cool idea. it doesn't change the style of the game, but it does change the way some players will interact with the game, almost like being able to pick a class. the game to an extent is rather simplistic and giving extra damage over normal players would be an unfair advantage, so i'm going to have a think on this, but honestly i'd like to see what other people think of this idea.
