Hi all, so basically while i've been playing this game, i've naturally posted on the forums about stuff from play style to new features and ideas to improve player experience.
it is my understanding that some of the ideas i posted up actually gave us the new system we have in place with zms kills, human infections, boss fight wins & damage.
now its true I don't know much about how the game works, or what it takes to code a plug in or perhaps even expand on a plug in so i don't know how this concept would be implemented successfully to improve player content.
so I'm going to lay out what i'm thinking but first i'll give some context.
one of my very first posts either on the forums or on discord (i forget which) invovled me talking about how as zms and humans you still have to work together as teams, sometimes you have to go wide and draw someone's gunfire so a zms team mate can get the kill, this though doesn't give you any reward dispite the fact you did quite a lot of hard work.
for the record, no, i'm not suggesting a plug in is made which allows for the tracking of kill assists.
amongst the players are these naturally awesome players (like myself) who go completely gun ho, balls to the wall to make the game as awesome as it is, now, naturally not everyone gets the kill and thats fine, but i thought it would be nice concept to give someone who has helped you some kind of MVP (most valuble person) award, or pip or something.
my thinking is that perhaps some kind of vote could be done in game during the final round, but i don't know if voting works that way or a simple /vote [player name here]
so if i wanted to give Beserk some props for being an awesome zms I could /vote Beserk and that would be all it takes.
my thinking is that similar to how you get zms kills and human infections, your MVP points will stack up, and eventually give you some extra escapes.
build off of this concept I would argue that you cannot vote for the same person more than once within a set amount of time, similar to how people can claim their daily reward.
i have also seen people fail at the last minute through no fault of their own.
i remember one map where you have to take a boat to escape, at the last minute the boat turns and i saw a dude fall into the water and this happened (with different people) on several occassions and each time i simply felt bad for them like "bro you were right at the edge of the escape and now you didn't get one!" in that kind of situation i even said to the admin "bro can you just take one escape from me and give it to them" but they cannot.
so this concept would be not just for hard working zms but also for humans who worked their butts off and for some reason failed right near the end.
i remember one dude running for the chopper and he jumped, he double jumped, he was half way to the chopper!
and it pulled away quickly, outside of his reach, naturally you would want to reach down and grab your bro and pull him up, but this game isn't built for that.
in that kind of situation i feel like these unsung heros of this game deserve a little token of gratitude, knowing someone else is out there, watching you game, enjoying your game style and seeing how sometimes things just don't go right, you get some kind of little pip award for just being a cool player.
hell it doesn't even have to be escapes, it could just be some free VIP time at least thats one concept to play with.
so thats the concept, i have no idea how to implement something like that, but i like the idea of being able to go "hey man you did good, have a cookie" which might give them escapes, or extra vip time or i dunno extra grenades or something, idk, something to show some appriciation.
what do you guys think?
